ECETOC launches Secondee Programme
Looking for an extra challenge? A next step to help develop your career? Consider applying for our Secondee Programme!
ECETOC is looking for early-career scientists currently working at a member company for a remote, part-time secondment with us (2 days a week). The secondee will actively contribute to one or more task forces over a minimum of one year, with a preference for a two-year engagement to see projects through to completion.
More specifically, the secondee will be driving initiatives within the Transformational Programme ‘Elevating exposure science in chemical safety assessment’, which encompasses both human health and environmental exposure. This includes Task Forces dedicated to advancing the ECETOC TRA tool as well as those tackling emerging challenges in exposure assessment, such as exposures from waste stages in the context of a circular economy.
They will facilitate discussions among experts, assist in the development of scientific reports, scientific papers, and guidance documents, participate in the relevant EU Commission, ECHA, EFSA, JRC (or any other relevant regulatory body) workshops, technical meetings, and discussions and occasionally attend in-person meetings with the ECETOC secretariat in Brussels (4–6 times annually), with travel and accommodation covered by ECETOC.
Interested candidates - or managers curious to find our more about this opportunity for their team members - are welcome to get in touch with us for more information!
