Practical considerations to optimize aquatic testing of particulate material, with focus on nanomaterials

New work by the Centre for chemical safety assessment (ECETOC) has examined the challenges of carrying out environmental safety testing of particulate materials, in particular nanomaterials and microplastics, for which there is a rapidly growing and expanding market.

The resulting paper, published in the scientific journal Environmental Science Nano provides recommendations that aim to improve the design of experimental studies for these assessments.
