Workshop on Safety Assessment and Regulation of Nanomaterials is to be held as a post satellite meeting to EUROTOX 2009 in Dresden, Germany

The workshop is hosted by German Toxicology Society and ECETOC on April 22-24, 2010. Following introduction of nanomaterials in new technologies, regulators, developers and the producers are confronted with a growing list of questions addressing the safety of nanomaterials for consumers and environment. The participants are invited to give their input into the discussion on current aspects with regard to chances of new technologies and risks of nanomaterials. The complexity of the ongoing risk discussion is a challenge to demonstrate the ability of toxicological work in academia, industry and regulation.
