HSSD Tool

This software was developed by a consortium of partners to facilitate the uptake of novel approaches to estimate aquatic threshold concentrations (e.g. the concentration at which 5% of the species are exposed above their EC50, HC5).

Announcement for the submission of abstracts for two SETAC Sessions related to ECHA’s activities

Dear Colleague

The preparation for the SETAC 25th Annual meeting to be held in Barcelona (3-7 May 2015) is on its way. Two attached sessions which have been accepted by the Scientific Committee for the first call of abstracts are closely related to ECHAs activities and chaired/co-chaired by ECHA. These are:

  1. Improving risk assessment approaches for substances with complex composition
  2. Challenges for environmental risk assessment of nanomaterials: addressing knowledge gaps, protection goals and regulatory perspectives

We encourage you to submit abstracts for these two sessions. The abstracts will be selected for platform, poster highlight, poster corner and poster presentations.

All abstracts MUST be submitted via the online abstract submission page, which will open on 6 October and can be reached via http://barcelona.setac.eu. The deadline for abstract submission is 26 November 2014. Abstracts submitted after that date will NOT be taken into consideration. Note that people submitting an abstract for a platform presentation, will be asked to submit an extended abstract of 2 pages.

If you have any questions the contact person for the session on difficult non-standard risk assessment of chemicals is Charmaine Ajao (e-mail: Charmaine.ajao@echa.europa.eu); the contact person for the session on nanomaterials is Anu Kapanen (e-mail: anu.kapanen@echa.europa.eu).

We would greatly appreciate if you could distribute this further to your contacts.

Thanks and Regards

Charmaine Ajao and Anu Kapanen
