  • It acts as a forum where company scientists can share their research, review and assess the toxicology and ecotoxicology of their chemicals;

Who is ECETOC membership for?

ECETOC membership is for companies who manufacture or use chemicals, and who want to provide their scientists with a way in which to learn and exchange information about the health, safety and environmental impact of their products.

Why is it helpful?

  • Your company can assure the health, safety and environmental impact of its products by ensuring it is fully scientifically-informed.
  • Your company can cut the cost of research by sharing scientific information with companies handling similar chemicals.
  • Your company can contribute to the long-term scientific thinking of European and international agencies and regulatory bodies;
  • Your company scientists can further both their knowledge and their scientific network.

ECETOC membership - a passive or active choice?

ECETOC membership is an active choice. The benefits that your company can achieve depend on the contribution of your company scientists. That means that as well as an annual fee, your membership would involve the dedication of at least one member of staff to represent your company as a delegate.

Your delegate would be responsible for:

  • proposing topics to be tackled by an ECETOC task force;
  • proposing qualified colleagues to participate in task forces and workshops;
  • attending the annual general meeting.

What other advantages could membership bring?

Active membership can bring a host of other advantages to your company and to your employees.

It allows your company to:

  • guide ECETOC's scientific agenda;
  • propose a member to the ECETOC Board of Administration.

And it allows all employees of your company and its subsidiaries to:

  • participate in ECETOC task forces, according the relevance of their knowledge and experience;
  • propose topics for the ECETOC work programme;
  • be invited to an annual scientific workshop and networking opportunity at ECETOC's Annual Technical Meeting;
  • have access to the members' only web pages;
  • request and receive complimentary printed copies of ECETOC publications.
