The network will identify areas where scientific opinions need to be further developed for the effective implementation of REACH. Areas identified will be proposed for the ongoing ECETOC science programme.
A network of Scientific Committee members and a few other experts from ECETOC member companies will share and scan communication on REACH (e.g. RAC and MSC documents, TGD updates). This network will be an ‘eyes and ears' network, not a ‘for information' one. It includes those who are actively involved in REACH processes, e.g. as representatives of ECETOC. A conference call will be held, in the beginning once a month, to share the learning from the review of documents and discuss upcoming issues. They will form an evergreen list for prioritisation.
The ECETOC network will present the status of their work to the Scientific Committee at regular intervals for further deliberation and decision where an activity was necessary and feasible. For an activity worth pursuing by a task force or in form of a workshop, the network will write terms of reference, including necessary timelines.
